We’re all pretty much Workin’ for a Livin’. November and December have traditionally been my favorite months of the year. Historically they are the two months jam packed with so much holiday fun and excitement it’s just too much. One of these years I swear I’m going to learn to enjoy them, one of these years I’m going to finally not work entirely too much during them. Just not this year.
This past Monday at half time of the Eagles vs Giants Monday Night football game Disney put its marketing magic to work and showed the final trailer for the much anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The movie is still about two months away but has already shattered movie ticket sales and is set to be the biggest box office of the year. I’ll admit the trailer left me a little underwhelmed (and I have only since seen in the one time) but that doesn’t mean it won’t be one of the few movie experiences I actually remember forever.
My blog posts have been a bit more sporadic lately than I’d like them to be, not because I can’t get to my PC but because I’m using that PC to play video games and more importantly Blizzard video games! It’s not the worst addiction in the world I could have but its been an on again off again addiction for as long as I can remember. It started innocently enough when I first bought my Sega Master System and continues today mostly via games like World of Warcraft.
There is something to be said of living a life of ignorance, as long as your world is chugging along who really cares what happens to the rest of it. I am guilty of living a life of ignorance for a long time, for many years there really wasn’t much to bother with. It’s now been a year since I made my little life changing decision and I’m even coming up on a year working at one of the two jobs that I started afterwards. During that year and the struggles that came with it a lot of the things that I didn’t care much for in the past were things that started bugging me in the present. One of the biggest things that really bothered me was healthcare and the lack of real good healthcare options
I couldn’t wait any longer and last week I decided to go ahead and get my new Oscar.
No one knows how to promote an upcoming event like Apple and as we get closer to September 9th all the hype seems to be surrounding the Apple TV. What was once Apple’s “hobby” may soon become their latest big innovation.
If there are two things for me that go together like peanut butter and jelly it’s fall and football season! As I write this we are a mere 4 days away from the 2015 Fantasy Football draft, an important draft because I enter as defending champion!
It’s our fist video blog post, this week we look at what Windows 10 has to offer. It’s a nice little primer if you’ve recently upgraded and need to find out what exactly Windows 10 has to offer. If you have questions let us know in the comments and look for more upcoming video blog posts!
I’m pretty late to the game with this and although I’ve sort of tried it before this past week I dove headfirst into Twitch broadcasting. Twitch is fun especially for those of us who like to watch, either from the fact that we can’t really play anymore or it brings back memories of watching our friends play as we all took turns playing a NES on that old tube TV. On Twitch at this point though I’m a small fish in a very big pond with some very popular broadcasters but I’m mainly doing this for fun, less profit. It’s all about having fun though and it’s also got me playing games a little more, which is something I’ve always enjoyed but recently haven’t had as much time. Plus how many Dad’s can be broadcasting on Twtich!
